Alvarr is a privately owned Drilling and Engineering Company operating both in Iceland and Sweden.   Alvarr Sverige AB is the Swedish branch of Alvarr ehf. Beginning in 2010, Alvarr Sverige AB together with the Department of Engineering Geology at Lund University was actively engaged in the stimulation and repairing of the geothermal wells in Lund Sweden. The 30-year-old wells were after all in a surprisingly good condition, and after the proper rehabilitation work the wells were as good as new.

The founder and owner of Alvarr ehf is Friðfinnur K. Daníelsson. 
Friðfinnur is a qualified mechanic and engineer and has a comprehensive experience in drilling and geothermal projects.
