Landsvirkjun, the National Power Company of Iceland, generates electricity via renewable energy sources such as hydropower, geothermal and wind power. The Company is the country’s largest electricity generator and one of the ten largest producers of renewable energy in Europe. Landsvirkjun operates 14 hydropower stations, three geothermal power stations and two wind turbines in five areas of operation, all over Iceland. We believe in an integrated approach guided by prudence, reliability and the harmony of operations with both environment and society.
