During the last decade, The Iceland Geothermal Conference (IGC) has been one of the most attended events in the geothermal world and now we are scheduled for the 5th time at Harpa in May 2024. The host and owner of the Iceland Geothermal Conference - IGC is the Iceland Renewable Energy Cluster and its members. The 5th IGC Iceland Geothermal Conference became a great success where about 600 delegates from 52 countries.
Iceland Geothermal Conference is an exclusive platform, the Energy Cluster has built up over the years, and this year was no exception.
It is a unique platform that brings together leading minds in the geothermal industry and related sectors, sharing knowledge, exploring innovative ideas, and fostering collaboration across the value chain.
The 5th IGC we did focus was on the theme Redefine tomorrow with Geothermal,' since we believe that geothermal is a vital source in the energy mix.
We ran 4 different tracks where 16 sessions were operated. Everyone emphasized the importance of geothermal resources when looking into energy security and stability, geothermal sustainability and innovation, and the viability and productivity of geothermal.
